How much time do you
want to spend in school?
When considering a career path, it’s important to know how much schooling, or training, is required.

Example: You're a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy and have decided you want to become a neurosurgeon. A neurosurgeon may spend 10 years pursuing her education – first undergrad, then medical school, then a residency – before becoming licensed to practice. A surgical technologist, on the other hand, may spend as little as two years in school preparing for a career.

Neither one is better; you just need to know what you are committing to.

After logging into SDMyLife, look for information about required schooling by profession.
